NuArts Foundation, Inc. began as a simple dream of sharing our passion for ballet while helping young men pursue their dreams in this beautiful art. The hope is to extend the vitality of the dream into the future through performance, creation, preservation, and education.

The Board of Directors is made up of people who have a deep passion for the performing arts.

Scott Gormley, President

Scott began an independent film production company, NuArts Production, LLC in 2015. The company currently focuses on documentary films. This company allows him to use his many creative talents to help others tell their stories; some of which, would never be able to tell their stories otherwise.   

He also, serves as the Art Director of Gormley Design. Scott services the fashion, consumer products and services industries through holistic strategy, memorable communication and beautiful design. He offers many services including advertising, logo design, and publishing. More recently, he served as President of Board of Directors for Eglevsky Ballet, overseeing the preservation of the rich 50+ year history of this world-class company. He managed direct marketing for both the ballet school.

Ross Mahler, Secretary

Ross is an award-winning screenwriter and has over 30 years’ experience in film production. He has written more than a dozen scripts and currently has three in active development. He also has extensive experience in visual design and internet content. He enjoys the challenge of directing and producing films. To say he is passionate about film is an understatement, it is more of a lifelong obsession. He participates annually in the 48-Hour Film Project held in New York City, as both a producer and screenwriter. Ross will easily take on any other roll needed to make the cut.

Steve Villa, Treasurer

Steve is experienced in combining financial and leadership skills to build and execute business models that deliver profitable growth. He has served in various C-level positions for companies with revenues ranging from $1 million to $1 billion. His strong operational and financial skills optimized by a genuine personality and confident leadership style provides a catalyst to management teams to achieve maximum personal, corporate and shareholder value growth.

As Muzak CEO, he led a comprehensive turnaround of this iconic company saddled with heavy debt. By openly communicating with employees, franchises, suppliers and clients, Steve built trust and the company regained revenue.

Steve’s success was recognized as he took center stage when receiving the prestigious Atlas Award Turnaround of the Year for Media and Entertainment.

Kathy Bunger

Kathy was over 30 years of experience in finance, sourcing and supply chain management roles.  Currently she is the Senior Director of Pricing & Analytics for McGraw-Hill Education’s Global Supply Chain Management division.

Kathy also served for a total of eight years as the Treasurer of both the elementary and high school parent organizations at The Schools of St. Mary in Manhasset, New York where she played a leadership role in planning and executing successful fundraising initiatives for the benefit of the schools and their students.  In 2011, Kathy was awarded the Chairman’s Service Award by The Josephine Foundation for her volunteer work in support of the Foundation’s theater programs at St. Mary’s Elementary School.

John Greco

John has partnered to help this organization reach its full potential. He has a good sense of business and will keep operations running smoothly. As an attorney concentrating on maritime, personal injury, transportation, commercial, insurance litigation and arbitration, John has ample experience.

John graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point. He is a licensed Third Mate, with sea service on ocean-going vessels, including tankers.

Michael McGuire

A serial entrepreneur, Michael McGuire is the founder of Greenwich, Conn.-based Triple Trunk Capital LLC, a structured finance firm that focuses on the Russian market. Additionally he is consulting on several new business ventures. He holds his MBA from Columbia in International Business and a BA from Babson.
